The rugs are manufactured with a high density of knots with the Persian knot, warp and weft of cotton and the wool of the pile is of high quality. The motifs are made up of beautifully designed medallions: niches, trees and figurative motifs and floral motifs. The predominant colors are blue, red and beige.

The quality of the rugs varies greatly; some of them are not even made in Keshan but are still sold under this name.
